Al Lover first caught our attention with his Woodsist Remixed project. He's continued to send good shit our way and we're forever grateful for the new friendship.
His latest crunchy, weirdo beat from the trusty MPC was originally a limited run of 100 single called "Reflective Flesh" that he pressed up for some zine. With no plans to repress, he's taking the generous route. "Reflective Flesh" follows a formula that speaks to all that's right and true in hip hop. Beats crafted on an MPC and run through a four-track just have an intangible soul power that cannot be duplicated in digital formats. I really wish I was privy to Al Lover back when this single was available in hard copy.
