Buffalo Moon's bossa nova psychedelia

By Blake Gillespie » When "Murder Mystery" meets "Girl From Impanema".

buffalo moon

Buffalo Moon's "Chica De Luna" translates to "Moon Girl", which adds up to a heckuva lot of moon talk on the Moon Glyph Label. Our spanish is shakey, so it's difficult to discern whether the song is about a lady of the night or the classy broad on the Miller High Life bottles. The band's female vocalist sings like a latina Maureen Tucker, falling in and out of English and Spanish, giving the track a "Murder Mystery" meets "Girl From Impanema" vibe.

Buffalo Moon's Selva Surreal is out October 25 on Moon Glyph.
