Butthole Surfers live in 1989
» Holy shit, indeed.
Gibby Hanes and friends
Thanks to Rocket Remnants for pointing us in the right direction to a two hours plus live recording of Butthole Surfers at the peak of their youthful insanity, after they'd learned how to play drums in time and whip their psychedelic squalls into rock songs.
Can't decide if it's funnier hearing Gibby Haynes drawl about lesbian love boys in "John E. Smoke" or the idea of him covering "The One I Love" only for it to descend into an arrhythmic miasma of guitar distortion.
Have a good time, get had, here and here.
