Just when one quirky ass-loving biracial tag team begins its serious assault on mainstream hip hop, another one pops up with even more severely electro-mangled cut up tracks to raise the bar one stop weirder for the heads out there looking for a different sort of fix. Where Spank Rock and Benny Blanco indulge in irony-laced fast spit tracks about fucking and game(boy), Kid Static's got a slightly more earnest tact to compliment Yea Big's glitchy mash up of LA-based Mae Shi's freaky hardpop. They might not be as ass loving as Spank Rock. Still doing research on that one.
