Sarah focuses on the personal processes of healing & how experience inspires & encourages the often painful processes of growth. Sisterly bonds are seen shot through a prismatic lens where exchanges & dialogues are brought amongst orchards of bountiful trees along infinite trails. Sarah P. described the video to self-titled mag with the following reflections:

The lyrics are straight out of my personal biography, but I think that people who went through difficult times in their lives can relate to the feeling of treasuring the company of that one person that’s got your back (whether that’s a parent, sibling, lover, or friend).
Musically, I wanted to create a dreamy atmosphere, starting from the moments before one falls asleep until they enter the REM phase; combined with the lyrics, “LoveStory” represents the quiet and relaxed state that our minds and bodies reach before we give in to the arms of Morpheus. Visually, we wanted to stray from the boy-meets-girl narrative and explore the themes of sisterhood, innocence, and worriless youth. It’s an ideal scenario, a dream. Unfortunately, youth nowadays has to worry about way too many things and innocence can’t come handy, but we’ll always have sisterhood, right?

Which brings us to the world premiere of the The New Division remix of “LoveStory” that introduces a new host of rhythm sequences, electronic audio additions among other inclusive elements. John Kunkel of TND isolates the imperative expressions of Sarah’s delivery & casts them into a new narrative suite of original stems & echoing beat pulses. A whirling spin cycle of synths, chords & atmospheres carry the song over toward a reflective span of space where the feelings of the past are reckoned with the release of what the future may bring.
Those promises of a persistent & beautiful tomorrow are told through the applied reverb that hangs at the end of every one of Sarah P.’s vocal sequences as the percussion ushers in a fervent feeling of pragmatism, determination & a doting reflection on the devoted support shown by loved ones. The feeling of flying in unison, the processes of growth, the ineffable languages of love, healing, evolution & the exchanges enjoyed between two hearts are illustrated in sublime & ecstatic expressions that take on cinematic like effects. The New Division remix of Sarah P.’s “LoveStory” exhibits the necessity of love in our lives that ultimately saves us from the sloughs & low laying elevations that foster self-doubts & the devastating pains that depression can bring. Sarah P. shared with the us the following exclusive thoughts on The New Division remix & whole lot more:

Who Am I is about facing off traumas and managing to heal in today’s world. If you’ve ever dealt with acute sadness or depression—or maybe were close to someone who did, you’re probably aware of the exhaustion that comes with it. “LoveStory” is a song about going to bed with the help of a loved one. The warmth of their touch and the sound of their voice is soothing and hypnotizing. Finally, the eyes are falling and you’re asleep.

I wanted to create a magical atmosphere for “LoveStory”, since I think of it as a thank you to the beings who stand by those suffering and give them strength to go on. For the video, I teamed up with director Eftychia Iosifidou and my big sister Clio Arvaniti. I’m in utter bliss to have worked with the girls—it was like a dream! I’m also very happy to have had “LoveStory” remixed by my dear friend John Kunkel aka The New Division.
