Meet Philadelphia’s Camp Candle—the duo of Hetepsa and Nu Ra premiere their debut Manimal single “Fogged Glass” that illuminates like a smoky, glistening prism. Vocalist/lyricist Hetepsa emerges from Nu Ra’s instrumentation that sparkles with the sounds of tomorrow like a glimpse at the metropolises & interstates from a not so distant future. A camaraderie struck up during high school that would give rise to Camp Candle; the twosome created an escape for themselves & their creativity to craft a new illustrious pop world for themselves to inhabit & enjoy.
“Fogged Glass” is the perfect winter tune that is reminiscent of cabin windows covered in condensation & precipitation from the collision of hot & cold air elements. Camp Candle moves through the cold Philly streets to find that place of sanctuary from the ensuing out-pour of ice, snow, sleet, rain & whatever other aspects of adversity that may fall from the convection cycles of the sky. Hetepsa’s voice goes from sung whispering breaths that further sew together the sustains of synths & keys that continuously shine with the glassy elegance of sparkling, shaken-up winter snow globes. “Fogged Glass” is arranged in a way that sounds like an epic electric-wonder that is constantly rising up on a build that ascends toward a celestial rise that skyrockets in a mode of non-stop elevation.
