Zs, Excepter, Ninjasonik produce music for Brooklyn teens

Nate Dorr

Last time Zs got major radio exposure, it was Howard Stern being baffled by experimental music. Yesterday, something far better, and far more interesting was discussed on WNYU. Seasoned sax blurter Sam Hillmer, besides his own music projects, has lately been working with schools to help Brooklyn teens make their own music. Really talented Brooklyn kids, who thanks to him are now getting produced by guys from Excepter, Ninjasonik, and Skeletons. I happened to catch a bunch of them live at the Kitchen yesterday and left thoroughly impressed. Hear from Hillmer and Brownsville's Fly Girlz on WNYC.
