Crate Digger: Tall Dwarfs "The Brain That Wouldn't Die"

It was reported the other day that Flying Nun Records founder, and one-half of the seminal New Zealand lo-fi duo Tall Dwarfs, Chris Knox, had a stroke (his condition has since been upgraded to stable).

Knox, whose work has been a stated influence on many of the Elephant Six bands (Neutral Milk Hotel, Elf Power), also has a fan in Jay Reatard, who posted a friendly memory of meeting Knox on his blog.

Obviously, we at Impose wish Mr. Knox a speedy recovery, especially in hopes that he can continue to produce music like that featured in the 1984 video featured below.
