Debut: Chrome Wings, "Signals"
» Like diving into a pile of soft cashmere sweaters.
The follow-up to last year's New Lands 12-inch on AM Discs, "Signals" is the first track off of Chrome Wings' new release, a split with Portland/Brooklyn band Blissers Ladyshapes coming out March 3 on Deep Tapes. The track is high-grade liquid ambient tonality, layered with dreamy vocals, and a surprisingly melodic and catchy guitar line buried under three feet of solid wave chunks. Every four beats or so, there is a fragment of a chemical snare, and the track moves forward, deeper into the radial emissions of its own creation.
