Deerhoof is opening up for Yoko Ono in Oakland on Feb. 23rd. From his post on the bands Myspace, you get the feeling that Greg Saunier is excited.
"Ono's music to me is very close to total purity. She seems to have no content in her songs and no plan in her performance. She just reacts to the situation, reflects the feeling in the room. It takes nerves of steel to do what she does. I'm never moved by any kind of music in the same way I am moved by traditional folk musics, but Yoko Ono is an exception."
