Pill Wonder, JungleSurf

As everyone should.

I guess beyond the fact that they called their album JungleSurf, the cartoony sampled jungle noises on "What We Know" help push the "tropical" button on your daily blogger's skull radar, but let's call the album title a great sense of irony (which, n.b., can't "die" unless your sense of humor goes down with it too), and think of most of these micro tracks, with only one exceeding three minutes, as perfect little slabs of suburbo-bedroom pop experimentation.

We've said it once, and we'll say it again, but of the Underwater Peoples, Pill Wonder produce our favorite, gentle soundworld.
