Fair Ohs spark up the season with “Summer Lake”

We open with what seems to be a mellowed and smoothed Fair Ohs from the gritty, raunchy Fair Ohs we knew, but soon the intro's trounced by the same galloping ebulience the London group showed on their past releases for Upset the Rhythm and the like. This new track “Summer Track” succeeds as only a tiny fraction of seasonal-fare guitar jangle can, by conjuring up those sun-glinted sentiments that make you slap the laptop shut to jump in your metaphorical canoes and get the fuck outside.

It seemed unfair to call the band “a sluttier Vampire Wekeend” back in the day, but with “Summer Lake” it seems like we were pretty much on the money.
