Freeway signed to Rhymesayers Entertainment!? What's next Memphis Bleek signing with Definitive Jux?

Seattle based producer Jake One is bringing worlds together. He built his reputation working on the G-Unit production team under Dr. Dre. He went solo with White Van Music on Rhymesayers Entertainment. Jake One's record featured contributions from M.O.P. , Slug of Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Young Buck and Keak The Sneak, proving his soulful sounds were fit for all levels of MCs.

With the folding of Roc-A-Fella Records and Def Jam becoming stale crackers in the game, Freeway needed a new home. Rhymesayers scooped up the bearded weirdo for a free mixtape and album due in 2010 all produced by Jake One. Freeway sounds right at home, perhaps even a little too comfortable, on Jake's production as he tells intimate tales of losing his virginity, “when my parents caught us freaking/ yelling we just playing / ya'll just playing? /yeah, mommy we just playing / get back here, get your ass in.”

We have a free download of Freeway's The Beat Made Me Do It Mixtape. His album The Stimulus Package is out February 17 on Rhymesayers.
