Another song from We're New Here, Jamie Smith of The XX's remix of Gil Scott Heron's I'm New Here has been released ahead of the album's February 22 launch date.
"I'll Take Care of U" is somewhat more fleshed out than the previously released track "New York Is Killing Me," mostly because it's given the full XX treatment. There's a simple but persistent backbeat as well as their signature lone guitar licks filling in the melody. By the end, Scott-Heron's dirgey plea is transformed into a full-on dance track with synths cooing in agreement.
