Edmonton, Canada's Happy Trendy have released this slippery, sliding small EP for free download on Bandcamp, although you can shoot them some cash if you want to support their upcoming European tour with Foxes in Fiction. The EP is completely low-fi soft pop, with a good measure of cheer and an even larger measure of audio distortion in the background to keep the saccharine at arm's length. My favorite song is the title track, with an almost shouted chant over sparse electronics.
