Mirror Universe has clearly become one of the epicenters of our seasonal infatuation with that which is both blissed with 80s nostalgia and blitzed by charming waves of no-to-lo fi fizz. Weed Diamond, Washed Out, and now, stepping up to the plate, Hula Hoop.
First swing: Huh? Where's the distorted vocals? The tidal wave reverb? This is kiddy pool stuff. In fact, it's like a sauna in here: Clean samples, sharp beats, solid pop leanings... at least we still have sentimental Orang Juice vocals to help us know which way the wind's blowing.
