French electronic-opiate peddlers Discodeine are slated to release the first single, "Synchronize," off their forthcoming LP on December 6, courtesy of DFA and DIRTY.
For the uninitiated, Discodeine is a collaborative effort between two well-known Parisian music producers/DJs, Pilooski and Pentile, so they basically have PhDs in creating music to exhale smoke on strobe-lit naked chicks by. Oh and they also enjoy "sci-fi movies" and "south western French cuisine."
DFA and DIRTY are coy about the details of the LP, except for the fact that there will be a "honorable handful" of guest vocalists singing over their original material, including Jarvis Cocker, who takes the reins on "Synchronize."
Mr. Cocker doesn't disappoint, as a bevy of strings accompany his forceful vocals, and it's worthy of the next time you shake your ass in public.
