KiD CuDi, Vampire Weekend, Best Coast track
» Commissioned c-rap, by that we mean "coastal-rap."
Commissioned songs are corny, yet remain a fairly popular trend. Converse got three darlings together in KiD CuDi, Rostam Batmanglij (Vampire Weekend) and Bethany Cosentino (Best Coast) to make some meaningless dribble over rawk geetars and church bells.
There's literally zero necessity for "All Summer," as you could listen to a triple LP of songs about summer from these artists and their contemporaries. In fact, I suggest not listening to this song, but going to the Converse website and listening to Fog's "What A Day Day" - damn, respect to the Chucks as I forgot about this gem. OK fine, it's summer. Maybe I should just drink some water and not wurrry bout shiiii.
Here's what I am worried about. Is that a paper-mâché Bethany Cosentino head? If so, I'm totally on a mission to purchase that head on eBay and make it my girlfriend.
