Depart From Me is shaping up to be Cage's darkest record to date, which is quit an accomplishment considering his catalog boasts songs about mental institutes, deadbeat dads and drug abuse. Jokes aside, "Nothing Left To Say" is about recently deceased Definitive Jux recording artist and member of Cardboard City, Camu Tao.
"I Never Knew You" is part of an eight song free EP that will precede Depart From Me.
The full length drops June 29 on Definitive Jux.

??? Do you guys even have ears this album is very average and doesnt compare to his earlier stuff and his work with the weathermen at all.... he sounds like some emo kid half the time. It is obviously aimed at making money and pleasing the mainstream. Cant really knock him for that tho, its still better than most of the poo on the radio/TV.

my prefrence is rock, not so in to rap, but this album is deep and its catchy . i havent heard any thing this different in a while and its nice. the lyrics are deep as fuck and the rythem is something that match so well . this is an album i think every one will enjoy. thank you

100% sore.... cage is such a unique rapper. if you listened to every cd and every song cage has made (which i take it that guy hasnt) you could tell he has progressed and has how should i put this... progressed or matured since the days he was on EC. they great thing about cage is he has songs and cds for every mood or feeling he can do it all... i cant wait to get my hands on this cd.. sounds like his best work

yo if your gonna compare songs why compare the most mediocre songs on those cds there are MUCH better songs than ck won on movies and there are WAY better songs than good morning and stripes off hells winter... i hate it when dorks like you come on these boards and talk shit they know nothing about. artists progress this is a HUGE progression for cage its still him you can tell he hasnt changed he has only progressed or for those that dont know the meaning ITS BETTER.

yeah, these songs are all right (dark even for cage). but some songs from hell's winter were better than this (stripes) (good morning ny), even some from movies (ck won) (teenage death). meh, we'll see what happens with palko.
