Say Hello

Norse Horse

By Jeremy Krinsley » Norse Horse seem to bask in a bath of reverb in some California nature reserve where they let you plug in your amps and process your vocals. There are lots of bird call delays, bubbly drum sequences and on "Swamp Trotter", a little frog-guitar. While there might not be anything novel in borrowing bits of calypso, guitar pop, Afro-beat, and that genre-unto-itself-we-call-Panda Bear, Norse Horse's latest collection of songs have the effortless charm of that most ephemeral of accolades, the perfect summer album, and that makes them an endangered species.
