LVL UP, “Graveyard”

The first single from LVL UP's forthcoming Extra Worlds 7″ takes their sleepless dreams to the “Graveyard”. The Purchase, NY quartet are comprised of Mike, David, Greg, and Nick are following up their Evil Weevil cassette / Double Double Whammy vinyl album release SPACE BROTHERS with the extra terrestrial realms of their Extra Worlds 7″ that continues the pursuit of one ups, extra lives, and takes their sound's cohesion to the next levels.

The four enter the crypt gates with a band of brothers spirit of undying power punk guided by an electric bass line as a pathfinding lantern. Once ground quaking thumps find the kick-flip urgin percussion and board breaking guitars; LVL UP's type of “Graveyard” exchanges solemn grassy knowls for a hang loose and thrash sound that turns the cemetery into a skate park of irreverent, yet righteous behavior.

Like late night tomb explorers howling melodic nothings at the stars, the sky and space above is described in terms of altered images. “I couldn't see the moon set, it's cut in half,” sending the gang harmonizing in unison as they amp up the sum of their instrumental electrics into an amped up rocket blasting off from the earth of gravestone markers for their destination of the halved, and setting moon.

LVL UP's forthcoming Extra Worlds 7″ drops April 6 with pre-order available now from Double Double Whammy.
