AWAY X Illenium – Leaving

Finding his musical inspiration between the crossroads of both heavy rock and electronic dance music, LA-based producer AWAY has launched his crackling remix of Illenium’s ‘Leaving’, blessing the production with his signature sounds and menacing synth patterns.
Much like his heroes, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, and shock rocker Marilyn Manson, AWAY refuses to remain in one lane, abandoning genre classification and limitations with no regard. Having first cut his teeth in music playing guitar in bands as a teen before he attended his first rave at 16. It was then and there when he realized he could make just as much noise, if not more, on his own as a solo producer.
With artists like Justice and Boys Noize thrusting him head-on into the electronic-rock hybrid, where electro and punk could coexist is noisy harmony. Anointing him as one of the breakthrough artists of 2018, he’s got the numbers to back it up, too: Since officially debuting in February 2016, he’s already racked up close to 25 million streams across all the major platforms, while his official music videos for “Honest to Gød” and “Sleepwalker” have amassed over 1.2 million YouTube views in less than a year. His versatile style and ambitious sonic range have landed him official releases and remixes with a venerable who’s who in the electronic music world including major labels like Atlantic/Big Beat and Interscope as well as tastemakers Mind of A Genius, B3SCI and Lowly Palace/Trap Nation.
