Gritty, Brooklyn experimental indie rock group Boon, has a knack for the ethereal. Building off their 2015 EP, Rome, and August “Hunger”, this four-man team of Brendan Principato, Jesse Paller, Drew Sher, and Andrew Senken are doubling down on their own creative evolution. With their new release, “Your Weight”, we are all left wondering what’s in their pipeline.
Underlying electronic tones keep a natural feel throughout this atmospheric plunge into experimental indie rock. Subtle guitar work, memorably haunting vocals and an incredible climax mark this other-worldly track. Its carefully built instrumental background, which slowly rises into a masterful, chilling experience, makes “Your Weight” a can’t miss.
