Conformist Drops “Komputer Jenerated,” Announces new Album

Welsh Electronic producer Conformist has perhaps the most ironic name ever, as evidenced by his latest track “Komputer Jenerated.” A glitchy sonic collage, the track molds together a hodgepodge of disparate sounds that work in tandem to provide a chaotic, candy-coated soundbed. A raspy guitar takes the lead on the track, abrasively rattling through the soundscape as the bounce off point for vocal samples, blaring synths, and other blippy flourishes.

Veering strongly in trip-hop waters, “Komputer Jenerated” swiftly contorts and breaks off into different pockets, each more confounding than the last. The song feels something like speeding through the confines of a fantastic, fluorescent digital underworld at 3AM.

Along with dropping “Komputer Jenerated,” Conformist announced his newest album Lifestyle Bible will drop on October 14th on Consumer Consumer records. Two years in the making, it’s a long awaited follow-up to his 2013 Paid to Fake It debut.
