Dan Edmonds, “Love Can Be A Tunnel”

Post Author:

Dan Edmonds – former frontman for Hamilton, Ontario’s Harlan Pepper, which experienced 8 years of touring success with Six Shooter Records – has started working on his solo project and, we must admit, it’s pretty stellar. His debut solo album, Ladies On The Corner, is on the brink of release, and we have the exclusive premiere of his first single “Love Can Be A Tunnel”.

First of all, we love that the track was made to succeed on vinyl. Edmonds’ voice sounds like it’s being transmitted through a megaphone, and his vocals have a light-hearted, folksy – almost Bob Dylan – feel to them. The bass line feels like a Temptations song, and everything about “Love Can Be A Tunnel” is raw in a very vintage way. It definitely has its own je ne sais quoi.

It’s time to go home, make some homemade lemonade, and sip it on the porch with this song playing in the background.

Tour Dates:
August 26th – Toast Wine Bar (Hamilton)
September 4th – Gage Park (Hamilton)

Ladies On The Corner is available October 7th. Preorder is available now via Missed Connection Records.
