Dude York, “Love Is”

Post Author:

Seattle-based Dude York finely ride the electric fences between Buzzcocks-esque pop-punk and punchy post-punk; we last heard from on their excellent debut album Dehumanize, but they’ve taken a very personal turn on their new single, “Love Is” b/w “Lose Yourself.” “Love Is” is a poppy firecracker from bassist Claire England, which she describes as “about the balance between turning experiences into art and the line one crosses when realizing someone’s a person and a participant in your stories as much as you are in theirs;” “Lose Yourself” is a dreamy transmission from guitarist Peter Richards that taps the gloomy side of C-86.

The “Love Is” b/w “Lose Yourself” is available now for digital purchase via Bandcamp. You can listen to “Love Is” below.
