KPLR is not a radio station though it does send off the kinds of transmissions that might be confused with otherworldly interference and glittery static frequencies. The project has seen releases as the duo of Dexter Brightman and Jair Espinoza but Brightman's responsible for the work on their debut full-length (on which the two track streaming below appear). Brightman cites repetitive mechanical sounds from his work as source inspiration for these latest tracks, and you can definitely hear gears grinding and generators humming amidst the mutated techno machinations.
KPLR's self-titled came out on vinyl at the beginning of the month on Digitalis.
