The LA-based Robedoor reveal “Flannel Shroud,” the third track off their album, Primal Sphere. The forthcoming LP consists of four tracks, ranging from seven and a half to more than ten minutes in length. A staple in the underground doom-drone scene, the Los Angeles-duo are perhaps known more for their prolificacy than anything else. The group has released more than twenty albums since forming in 2005, not to mention the dozens of EP's, cassettes and CD-Rs they've put out in that time.

If you've heard Robedoor before, you know what to expect. “Flannel Shroud” is dark and forboding, distorted vocals and eerie synth tracks crafted with intent to summon netherworld demons and the like. Unwavering drums beckon ever onward, drawing the listener along in a forced march towards apocalypse. Primal Sphere is the band's follow-up to their 2011 release Too Down to Die.

Primal Sphere is set to be released May 14 on Hands in the Dark Records.
