See Through Dresses

Omaha’s See Through Dresses are a blur of nauseous, claustrophobic energy. Their blown-out, catchy indie rock nods to the recent past, the college rock of the ’80s and ’90s, but coils around the anxieties of the present. Led by principal songwriters Sara Bertuldo and Mathew Carroll (formerly of Conduits), they explore dull hatred in “Big on Brains”, with its refrain of “I will find you/I will destroy you,” speed up and get hefty on “Little Apple Rot”, and scuff the toes of their shoes morosely in the dirt on “Everyman”. These are songs built to stick in your craw.
