Spaceships, “Stone”

Post Author:

Los Angeles two-piece Spaceships is releasing a new record, Little Buddha, on the newly formed tape label Unsatisfied Records on February 24th. In the meantime, here is “Stone”, a decidedly quieter track than Spaceships’ previous releases but still captures their aggression and boldness. Singer Jessie Waite’s beautifully casual voice croons in the lo-fi recording, “I don’t want to die. And we’re all supposed to get a job, but I don’t know why. I’d rather dream, do nothing.” It’s scrappy classic rock with a touch of West Coast pop sensibility. Stream it below.
