Steady Sun, "Life At One Twenty Two"

Post Author: Elizabeth Schneider

“Life At One Twenty Two” is the first single off the upcoming album Indifferent World from Steady Sun.  The Brooklyn/Queens based quintet comprised of Dylan Nowik, Andrew Emge, Pete Victor-Gasper, Paul Truitt, and Rowan Brind play self-described “Jive Daydream” music and “Life At One Twenty Two” does not seem to be an exception.
Recorded primarily by Dylan Nowik in his apartment in Queens between late 2015 and mid-2016, “Life At One Twenty Two” has a dreamy feel that is futuristic and at the same time, reminiscent of “Wooden Ships” by Jefferson Airplane.  With meandering instrumentals and sparse lyrics, the song has an uplifting quality.  Each time you listen to it, you get a little something different from it.

Keep up with Steady Sun here.
