Swansea, “Red Mittens”

Sophie Kemp

“I want to tell you I love Franny and Zooey/ I want to tell you I’m making a skirt out of neckties,” deadpans ¬†frontwoman Rebecca Sanborn of Swansea. In the opening track “Red Mittens,” off of the Portland three-piece’s new album FLAWS, we hear the band put together a danceable synth track that centers around some dry and hilarious lyricism. Throughout the album’s ten tracks, the band plays up traditional synth rock jams to make something super innovative and ultra catchy. Full of great quippy lyrics that will make you think FLAWS is unstoppably fun.

Keep up with Swansea here.
