The Narrative, “Oklahoma Air”

Michael Brummett

It took a deep optimism to combat the perpetual self-doubt surrounding the release of The Narrative‘s Golden Silence. Having originally set out to record the album in 2012, budgetary constraints of the independent group led to a slowing and eventual end of the project- so they thought.

“Oklahoma Air” is exactly that- a breath of fresh air, with a well-paced chorus and beautiful vocals. Four years later, following a great deal of internal reflection, the long-delayed album is here. Having recently relocated to Nashville from native Long Island, New York, Golden Silence covers hard truths, relationships of all kinds, and a continual love of creating music together.
