Two Moons, Strings

Post Author: Meredith Schneider

After their first single’s raging success on GoldFlakePaint, we are so excited to announce that Portland’s Two Moons has chosen to premiere their new EP in its entirety here at IMPOSE.
A collection of songs that doesn’t stray from displaying the subtle imperfections in raw instrumentals and vocals, Strings at times is hazy enough to feel like you’re falling into a dream with the trio itself. Light as a feather vocals take you from “Being Here”, across “No Name In G”, and on through to “45th Parallel”, whose title feels more rooted in time and space than anything, while the momentum that has been built up around it actually translates as other-worldly in the echoes of the strings. But that’s not before “Maria” brings a sinking – almost drowning – feeling to the forefront, with its darker composition and more melancholic feel to the vocals.
Let’s just say Strings takes you up and down through emotions, while holding the same sensory feel, somehow, throughout.

Strings is out February 3rd. It is available for preorder now.
