Von Sell – Scene of A Crime

Brooklyn-based producer Von Sell, emerged in 2016 with his debut self-titled EP. The project garnered critical praise from The Fader, Paste Magazine, All Things Go, Grimy Goods, Impose, Earmilk, and more with multiple tracks reaching #1 on Hype Machine.

Things were moving swiftly forward, until he began to suffer unexplained vocal discomfort and pain that led to cancelled shows and little explanation from specialists. After a forced hiatus spent with family in Germany to heal his voice, Von Sell returned to his Brooklyn studio, transforming his experiences into what would become his forthcoming sophomore EP, Digital Sleep.

Now though, he’s returned with the stunning new single “Scene of A Crime”. Undoubtedly his most uptempo installment, it’s a powerful incarnation of a one-way love. On the track, he states

“I ended up writing a song about being in love, yet being numb at the same time. A song that makes you dance but perhaps also reflect. I think I explore pretty much every fear I have here, of not being loved, of not being able to feel, of feeling too much”
