WaxMistress, “A Reflection”

The pleasures of daydreaming

From Nashville TN, Wax Mistress is a culmination of influences of both new and old school.  Wax Mistress brews together the sonic elements of the cosmos, dolphin sex, and phased out guitars to bring you sounds like no other.  Comprising of students from three major Nashville metropolitan universities: Vanderbilt, Belmont, and MTSU; Wax Mistress is Brandon Rhodes (vocals), Michael Deano and Braxton Foster (guitars), Evan Kim (bass), and Aaron Itzkovitz (drums)

The group tells us where some of their inspiration for the track came from,

“We were listening to a lot of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Post Animal, and Of Montreal, and I was revisiting some of my favorites: like Radiohead and a lot of local Nashville acts like Spirit Week, Boyscott, Kid Freud.”

“A Reflection” is a hallucinatory reverie for your everyday traipse. WaxMistress will drag you in with their newfangled chimes as you may be put to ease while listening to the sonic and sensual earworm.
