Lucifer not dub enough for your dub-loving ass? Consider your wish granted.

Continuing their slow metamorphosis into a full on dub two-piece, LA’s Peaking Lights reworked Lucifer, their LP from earlier in 2012 in full dub-riddim glory. The six-track rework appropriately titled Lucifer in Dub is due out on December 11 on Mexican Summer and in preparation, the band released a single “My Heart Dubs 4 U” a spacey reinterpretation of Lucifer’s “Dream Beat”.

The band has reached down into those full-bodied dub inclinations, pulling the jangle on the bubbling synths down into the mix, embracing the echo, and resting on savory, funky bass lines to carry the song with an added sexy and hypnotic gravitas.
