Sisu, the pet project of Dum Dum Girls drummer Sandra Vu, have announced the release of their debut LP Blood Tears. Due out September 17 on Mono Prism, the dark-tinged, hazy shoegaze outfit sees Vu step out from behind the kit as the band's main songwriting force, building upon the Dum Dum Girls pop-base with layers of noise and abrasion. “I didn’t want to sound like any one thing,” Vu explains, “but I did want to make pop songs with un-pop sounds.”

And as the title suggests, Sisu will be hitting the road with Dirty Beaches. Together they will capture the dirty minds of men and women across the country, leaving a trail of broken hearts and auditory pleasure along the way.*
