Stream eskimeaux’s O.K. in full

Eskimeaux o.k.

Eskimeaux is the songwriting project of Gabrielle Smith, a member of the Epoch collective. Like other bands associated with the Epoch, Smith’s music balances introspective, open-book song craft with a palpable sense of urgency—like hearing the sounds of her diary set to a driving backing band of her closest friends. Her next full-length record, O.K., feels simultaneously handmade and expansive. We’ve already shared the ode the friendship, “Broken Necks“, as well as the brave and cathartic “I Admit I’m Scared“. Those were both apt entry points into the world of Eskimeaux, but O.K. is really an album best experienced in full, which you can now do. The entire album is now streaming here via the New York Times, in advance of its May 12 release on Double Double Whammy. Eskimeaux will also soon be on tour with Mitski and Elvis Depressedly.
