Unsound Festival, the electronic music festival that first started in Poland, is happening for the third year in various locations around New York City from Wednesday, April 18 through Sunday, April 22nd. The event features performances by a diverse group electronic artists, as well as lectures, film screenings and other events that explore the giant world of non-standard electronic music. The performers include Julia Holter, Julia Kent, Jenny Hval, Demdike Stare, Sepalcure, Peaking Lights, Sun Araw, Laurel Halo, Ital, Hype Williams, Distal, Throwing Snow, Hieroglyphic Being, and so many more. The film Icon Eye, which documents the travels of Sun Araw to Jamaica where here collaborated the with legendary dub reggae group The Congos will be screened on Saturday. Following the film there will be a question and answer session.
Sun Araw will also be performing on Sunday.
