No Kings' two new tapes
» Derek Rogers and Geoffrey Sexton meditate and drone
No Kings, drone and outer limit audiophiles out of LA by way of Tennessee, have two new tape offerings (actually the Rogers is almost sold out).

Derek Roger's Informal Meditation c60 was recorded live at Emo's in Austin (some on an iPhone, and you can hear people chatting), and the two sides serve as immaculate documents of pin-point focused drone, with slow moving progressions and underwater currents washing the organ and guitar.

Geoffrey Sexton's Suburban Sun Births c34 serves as the evocative raw audio material that backs his 2010 film piece, a series of reflections on human materialism and mass-production called Classroom Citizens. (Glimpse a piece of that below.)
