Hands are crawling over the new Rick Moody

Rick Moody's new one out today / Enthusiasticast
Kind-of / sort-of big time author Rick Moody has a new book out today, The Four Fingers of Death. A metafictional meditation on a real B-movie, the 1963 sci-fi movie The Crawling Hand (watch the whole thing at i09). The main character in the book writes a novelization of The Crawling Hand movie and there's that whole story within a story thing, sort of like Inception, but probably more like Pale Fire. Anyway, the trailer for Four Fingers of Death (below) is pretty good, lots of campy faux science stuff.
Bunch of people have a lot of good things to say about Moody's new book, anything sounds better than the beginning of Moody's last book The Diviners, which sucked and weighed a lot. Let's hope The Four Fingers of Death is his triumphant return.
