Joe Steinhardt, one of the principal founders of Screaming Female's main label, Don Giovanni Records, has gone ahead and recorded an album under the moniker Modern Hut, and he did it with the production help of that band's lead guitarist/vocalist Marissa Paternoster. Paternoster also contributed drums and guitar and some singing to the outing, but the main thrust of the project is Steinhardt's long form ode to the Malkmus dead pan vocal, and some good old fashioned riffage.
