After reporting on the Osaka underground electronic music scene for us in mid-2012, Erik Luebs comes through from Japan with even more news to offer. His imprint on the community turned physical recently as he launched a label to promote small releases and support Japan tours. The debut offering from Perfect Touch is a split release from Osaka producers Seiho and Obey City, and a sampler of what is to come can be streamed below. “Shochu Sounds” embodies distant worlds—expanding and contracting with dance-heavy samples and a reliable backbeat—and its light shimmers with a potent afterglow.

Perfect Touch will continue to put out releases in Osaka and countrywide, and this split Shochu Sounds EP is available for preorder here. The digital release comes with a T-shirt designed by Sapporo design group Patanica, and is quite a lovely addition.
