Impose's new radio show on the Heritage Radio Network, Nothing Urgent, debuted last week by delving into the culinary merits of cicadas, and only a week later, the ante has already been upped. Chris Robbins and Derek Evers sat down last night at Roberta's, a “dining establishment” in Brooklyn, to talk about Paula Deen, bike accidents, a potential new radio show called “Derek Assumes,” and the highlight: a lengthy, sexy interview with Shannon Shaw of Shannon and The Clams. The band is in town for a tour to support their excellent third record, Dreams in the Rat House, and when Shannon sat down with Impose, the conversation was riddled with juicy, salty pearls. (You can find pearls in clams, right? No?) The Clams play tonight at Bowery Ballroom with Mikal Cronin and Roomrunner.

You can stream or download the episode here, and then hold on to this quote for future epilogues, eulogies, wedding speeches, and whathaveyou:

“Paul Deen lives in a plantation of butter.”
