Super Chron Flight Bros celebrate TV

By Blake Gillespie » Watch teenage Drake get gunned down in a Canadian high school - laaaame.

I planned to chill on my obsessive posting of everything Super Chron Flight Bros and Willie Green related, but the dudes keep sending me stuff that begs another post. It's as though we lived parallel childhoods in front of the TV, indulging in the same crush on Winnie Cooper.

Billy Woodz' interview with the Village Voice is a suitable introduction into the clip-fest that is SCFB's latest video for "Strangers With Candy." Much like "Reggie Miller," Willie Green laces Woodz and Priviledge with organs that inspire some good ole "nostalgia-izing." It's an after school special of clip-o-rama as the video pulls from Little House on the Prairie, Saved By The Bell, Beverly Hills 90210 and most importantly, Degrassi: The Next Generation. Recognize that charming young black male in the Degrassi clips? It's Mr. first name Greatest, last name Ever himself: Drake.

Such talent in the young man as he gets gunned down by a white nerd with social issues. That must have been a powerful and career defining episode for Drake. The type of role that sheds light on a future in rap.

Cape Verde is out June 22 digitally and July 13 on CD.
