The Clubhouse enlist Homeboy Sandman's humming

Homeboy Sandman's mimicking of the cyclic guitar patterns brought to mind a caffeine-fed lifting of The Clash's "Car Jamming" bass line, but by the chorus my thoughts floated towards a fresh mash-up of Crash Test Dummies' "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" mixed with a funk interpretation of Al Hirt's "Green Hornet".
The Clubhouse is releasing its debut EP Live At The Clubhouse Vol.1 on Homebase NYC. The first single is "Fully Equipped", which features Homeboy Sandman humming to the grooves and rapping lists of reasons he's dope, lists of music suggestions and listing in free association like "I ain't scare of the feds / I ain't cookin' up bricks / but I can cook up a dish / I can cook up a disc." Homebase followed Homeboy and The Clubhouse to Flatbush and caught them in sesssion:
Live At The Clubhouse Vol.1 is out February 9. The EP features Recess (Clubhouse + Sene), F.Stokes, Blu, Freddie Gibbs and Coco.
