The opening credits that got a standing ovation at Sundance
»
I saw Enter the Void, a thriller directed by Gaspar Noé about a Japanese drug dealer who dies and comes back as a ghost to protect his sister at Sundance, and was completely floored by it.
This open credits sequence got an ovation from the audience, something I've never seen before at a movie. Thomas Bangalter (half of Daft Punk) is getting hype for scoring the film, but the tune here is actually an old gem by LFO called "Freak."

slightly confused as to why? can someone explain?

So I'm guessing from this that the first scene is in an arcade.
