On the first leak off their upcoming Lefse release Wasted Youth Blues, The Morning Clouds start things off with some soporific surf influences hanging by the sleeves. It's a slow intro to the main, meloncholy ballad which intones between guitar sparks and a general wash of ennui that it's better not to care about the lost ones who “didn't even look your way.” It's a pretty, sad song, and rather than wanting to kill yourself upon first listen, you should lean back in your comfiest chair, stare up at the ceiling and get nostalgic about all the narsty breakups and lost loves of your wasted youth.
