The most average releases of July 2012

Remember last month when we were asking, “Why is Spin doing all this dumb stuff, like saying that certain records are the worst records ever?” It turned out that it was because they were becoming part of an empire – of Kardashians. Acquired by Buzzmedia, who also run Stereogum, Gorilla vs. Bear, and KimKardashian.com, and immediately taken out of print and given pink notices for half the staff, it looks like Spin has to find its place in a very crowded portfolio. Without a solid online presence, who knows where this publication will end up. Another one bites the dust.
